THE BAND

I have been playing music my whole life. Played in various bands in high school and college with some amazingly talented musicians. I have also been writing songs over the years. One day I decided I really wanted to play them for people. So I started Exit Wonderworld (named for the Wonderworld exit off of I35, and everyone always calls us "Exit Wonderland", but we are used to it at this point...). We started playing gigs around Austin, with our first show at the Carousel Lounge. Then continued to play at Lucky Lounge, Cedar St, One-2-One, Saxon Pub and other Austin venues.

 

This music style is rock, with people saying they hear influences of Tom Petty, John Mayer, Pearl Jam, Bruce Springsteen. Hal Wolpo brings an 80's lead guitar vibe to the mix.

 

This past summer (2023) I decided it was time to get some of these songs recorded. So we did our first studio recordings at Same Sky Productions and released the songs in July 2024. I decided to make a music video for Cross Your Mind and worked with the talented director Chris Carpenter to make that happen.
